Great Planes Gee Bee R-1 EP Tx-R Prime

Almost no other air-racer from the 1930’s has achieved such fame as the Gee Bee R1, whose uniquely striking appearance lends her a very special charm. Whilst the original was rather treacherous, and became known through numerous accidents, this Gee Bee fl ies surprisingly gently. Even so, this is no model for the inexperienced pilot. The powerful brushless motor accelerates the model swiftly, so that take-off is unproblematic and once in the air the Gee Bee responds obediently to the controls, making it a joy to race at low altitude around an imaginary course. Although built for extensive aerobatics, this racer can also fl y surprisingly slowly, so that even the much-feared landing can be easily achieved; just make a low approach and let the plane sink onto the strip. The robust AeroCell construction will also survive the occasional rough landing!
